The Batch Performances

Spectra 2024, started off with a bang, where we had our students perform with their respective batches. The theme for Spectra 2024, being the celebration of 111 years of Indian cinema, the students, instructors, did justice to the theme, by adding their own flava of the Indian film industry which included but was not limited to – Bollywood, Tollywood, Sandalwood, Kollywood, and Mollywood to their dance performances. Taking inspiration from mega stars such as Rajnikanth, Hrithik Roshan, Mahesh Babu, Mohanlal and Upendra the instructors and students out did themselves. 

The whole concept of inculcating Indian cinema into street dance performances such as Afro dances, Hip Hop, House, locking, and Heels, left the audiences in awe. 

Every batch delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing their dedication and hard work. While each performance was incredible, there could only be one winner and the winner for Spectra 2024 was the Locking Batch! Congratulations to them!

The Battles

At its core, a dance battle is a high-energy competition where dancers face off against each other in a showcase of skill, creativity, and freestyle. 

The ARDS students went head-to-head, showcasing their skills, in various categories such as  Afro dances, Hip Hop, open style and House. We not only got to witness incredible talent but also immense passion and competitive spirit of the ARDS dance community. 

The ARDS students, with their funky and powerful moves, set the battle ground on fire as they competed in various rounds, each challenging them to outperform their opponents and impress judges and the audience. The winners of each battle were given awards for their hard work and talent.

Sports

Spectra 2024, did not just end with performances and battles, the students and instructors came together to play their favourite sports which included - football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, and basketball. The ARDS students embraced their athleticism and brought out their sporty side and friendly competitiveness amongst each other. Playing sports helped our students to rejuvenate their spirit, and allowed them to grow, connect and build better sportsmanship among each other.
