Hello ARDS fam! May has been a spectacle of events for our community. We're excited to revisit some highlights from the past month and celebrate our thriving community. 

Banger Trinity Series with Donny

The month started off with the banger workshop series by Donny held on the 9th,10th and 11th of May. Over the weekend, Donny delved deep into technique, style and movement in his 3 day intensive choreo series. The Intensive was a huge hit! Students thoroughly enjoyed it, which perfectly balanced fun with rigorous learning. The trinity series had a total of 68 students over the three days making it an amazing time of learning and dance. The choreography class pushed students, leaving them with much more to explore in terms of movement.

Spectra 2025

Spectra 2025 was a huge success. 24th May was the final showcase of two months of classes which consisted of basics to intense choreography formation and practices. The day was packed with the ARDS community coming together, batch performances, battles, and various sports and recreational fun.

SNIPPETS OF BATCH PERFORMANCES FROM SPECTRA 2025

Spectra 2025 was set in motion featuring performances by our students and their respective batches, showcasing dance forms on the theme of ‘Puppet Show, Circus and Magic’. Each batch presented a fantastic show, integrating the concept creatively into their choreography. The Judges and audience had a blast watching the different ways in which the Spectra showcase was brought to life. Every batch truly delivered outstanding performances, a testament to their dedication and hard work. While each show was incredible, only one could claim victory, and the winner of Spectra 2025  was the Hip-Hop Batch choreographed by Shiva! A huge congratulations to them!

Divya’s open-style batch placed as runner up showcasing a magic restaurant. With its concept, pop of colours, usage of props and overall execution, this performance stood out from the rest. 

Battles

At the spectra battles this year, students got down against each other in 4 categories- Hip-hop, Open-style, Afro and House. The ARDS students brought the battleground to life, through their moves and various challenging rounds. Here are our winners of the battles at Spectra 2025.

Sports

After the battles, students and instructors spent time on recreational activities and sports including table tennis, basketball, football and badminton. This active participation allowed ARDS students to showcase their sporty side as well.
