Summer Highlights from ARDS India!
Hello ARDS fam! The months of March and April were a great time of learning for our community! We’re thrilled to share with you some highlights.
Choreo workshop with Alisha

The month of March began with a choreography workshop by Alisha. Blending style and fun, the dancehall workshop to Bayanni and Jason Derulo’s ‘Ta Ta Ta’ was indeed a massive success. Alisha was joined by her fellow Afrontal members Divya Easwaran and Nivitha Krishna for the final showcase of the class.
Choreo workshop with Kian
March wrapped up with Kian Gupta’s fiery choreography workshop. His heels session set to Sunidhi Chauhan’s ‘Aa Zara’ raised the temperatures in the studio and left the students in awe.
Street Knowledge with Elvis

April began as a month of learning with the first edition of Street Knowledge- House. This was a session in collaboration with the master of the style himself - Elvis Mascarenhas. The house workshop was an engaging experience that involved learning how to infuse techniques into movement. Elvis is an expert in numerous styles including Salsa, Kizomba, Semba, Hip-Hop, Afro-House, Bachata and House. The two-hour session was highly interactive and the students left the class with various new insights about House-Street Knowledge.
“It was very challenging for me mentally. It was breaking my own patterns, especially the rhythm patterns. Definitely made me see how music can be seen in a different way.”
Amar Ambokar
Street Knowledge with Anto

The second session of Street Knowledge was a challenging class with none other than the founder of Original Street Dance- Anto George. The workshop was a complete sell-out. During the two-hour session, students were trained from foundations to grooves. The intensive was a fantastic experience for the students, combining enjoyment with rigorous training. This ended with an energetic cypher in which all the students showcased their talents one by one. The class was indeed a celebration of Hip-hop as a style, a time to learn and grow from the very best!
“Everything about this workshop was top-notch. I loved the whole time I spent in ARDS. Thanks to Anto Anna for being very friendly and approachable. We need more workshops from Anto sir.” - Juju
Summer Camp 2025

With the onset of the Summer Camp from April 4th, ARDS now has its small campers training across 2 batches. For 3.5-7 years, campers have classes for various skills across dance, yoga, gymnastics and creativity arts while the 7-14 years learn dance, gymnastics, juggling, theatre-drama, video-making and DJ-ing.
International Dance Day

The studio celebrated International Dance Day on the 29th of April with a fun-filled activity. Students were asked to write ‘what dance meant to them’ and suggest their favorite dance movie/show. A cookie counter was set up for students to refresh themselves between classes. Along with this, a ‘Swap Box’ was introduced in the studio to exchange items. You could take one item that you required and drop one item which you wished to contribute!
