August Rewind with ARDS India

Hello ARDS family!

Welcome to our August rewind, where we take a walk down memory lane and re-visit some exciting times in August. As we love seeing our community thrive and grow, here are a few highlights from this past month:

Choreo Weekend with Donny

The Choreo Weekend with Donny, held on 3rd and 4th August, was an intense experience to say the least. Over these two days, Donny led a two day intensive and a choreography class. The choreography session, set to the hit song "Blockbuster," was a standout event, drawing students from across the city. It was a sold-out spectacle, with dancers flocking to showcase their skills under Donny’s expert guidance. Donny has been trained in various dance styles such as Jazz, Dancehall and other street styles. He beautifully curated his choreographies, by inculcating all these styles in them. The students had a blast at the Intensive! It was a perfect blend of fun and intensity. They not only enjoyed themselves but also absorbed a lot of new techniques and dance insights. It was a high-energy intensive that left everyone feeling both exhilarated and accomplished.

Loose Your Legs Intensive with Moneesh

Loose Your Legs Intensive with Moneesh was an energetic and expressive two day House intensive, which took place at ARDS India. As the name suggests, this two day intensive focused on leg work which involved fast and precise movements of the feet, and other complex routines. The students got the chance to experience, a lot of improvisation on all days of the intensive. Overall, the intensive brought out their creativity, individuality and allowed the dancers to connect deeply within and express themselves more freely. The students had a great time, picking up loads of new moves and just having fun. The Loose Your Legs Intensive was a good mix of learning and letting loose. By the end of it, everyone was really giving it their all and dancing like there was no tomorrow!

Community Class with Jeeva

Congratulations to Jeeva, for conducting and teaching his first ever Community Class at ARDS India. Jeeva’s first community class on "Maatna Gaali" was full of energy and emotion. He took Afro dance styles and gave it a unique Indian twist, blending the best of both worlds. The result was an incredibly vibrant and engaging experience that really resonated with everyone who participated.

Choreo Workshop with Satvik

As we celebrate numerous "firsts" at ARDS India, we're thrilled to highlight Satvik’s debut Choreo workshop, where he infused the space with soothing J Cole vibes. The joy on everyone’s faces speaks volumes!

Choreo Workshop with Raju

Last but certainly not least, Raju made his debut as a teacher at ARDS with his first-ever workshop. Raju choreographed the session to a Bollywood song, blending his unique style into the choreography.
