As Cultivate moved into its next phase, February continued with steady training alongside Community Sunday and a series of workshops. The foundation batches maintained their rhythm, while varied movement approaches introduced new energies into the space
Community Sunday

We began on 1st February with Community Sunday, featuring a choreography workshop by Pradeep set to Hosanna. The focus was on bringing a street approach to Indian music and finding how hip hop vocabulary could sit honestly on that track.
The session encouraged dancers to play with dynamics and enjoy the process while training. It was a reminder that discipline and fun can exist together in the same space.
Community Sunday concluded with a cypher designed for the community. The intention was to offer a safe and open space where dancers could step in, explore movement freely, and engage without the pressure of structure.
Workshops

February continued with a range of workshops that introduced varied styles and perspectives, including a contemporary workshop led by Somya Kautia and Sarah Elsworth followed by the performance evening TO-MOULD by the same artists, featuring live music by Anita Clark on 6th and 7th February

On 15th February, Taneesky led a workshop set to Dracula, bringing an elevated tone into the space. The choreography demanded precision in accents, control in stillness, and sustained intensity throughout the piece. Rather than focusing only on picking up steps, the session pushed dancers to commit fully to texture and performance quality. The shift was visible in the room movements became sharper, decisions clearer, and execution more intentional as the piece progressed. It was a session that challenged stamina and presence equally, encouraging dancers to move beyond familiarity and hold their ground within the choreography.

On 28th February, Divya Easwaran led a workshop set to Folded by Kehlani, focusing on subtle, thoughtful movement. Drawing from her experience across street styles and other movement practices, Divya guided participants to explore transitions, musicality, and the emotional nuances of the song. It was a session that rewarded awareness and presence, allowing dancers to connect deeply with both the music and their own movement choices.
Looking forward

The Collab Series is a curated set of workshops built around collaboration. Each session brings together two artists who co-lead the class, combining their individual approaches, experiences, and movement languages into a shared format. Each session is designed to give you a fresh perspective, new vocabulary, and an immersive training experience. Register now!!

Swady and Ryan will be bringing their collab workshop focused on grooves and styling. The session will look at how groove shapes the foundation of movement while styling brings individuality to it, giving dancers space to explore both through choreography on
PUSH IT UP by Jay sean and Juggy D

Swaroop and Sandman will be bringing a collab workshop that brings together their distinct street styles. With Swaroop’s background in bone-breaking and Sandman’s focus on tutting, the session will explore how these two styles can interact and be used together through choreography on AAJA AAJA by Troyboi ft.Amar

Owhatt and Vengayo’s collab workshop will be set to Watch Me Now by Ndotz and DJ Mac. From the preview of the piece, it plays closely with the music, with moments that highlight precision and style while keeping a fun and energetic vibe for dancers.

Pradeep and Shiva will be bringing their hip hop collab workshop to Jam by Michael Jackson. While both come from a hip hop background, they approach the style differently, and the choreography is set to be tight and fun, bringing their perspectives together in one session.

Afrogirl Indian will be bringing a choreography workshop on 15 March from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, set to Holy Ghost by Omah Lay, with choreography rooted in African grooves.
Spectra

SPECTRA is our competitive batch, where training meets performance. We start with the basics and build toward full choreographies prepared for inter-batch competitions, with dance battles adding to the mix.
It’s focused, it’s challenging, and it’s meant for dancers who want to push themselves a little further. If you’ve been thinking about stepping into something more demanding and performance driven, this is your chance.
It’s going to be intense, it’s going to be fun, don’t miss it.
